The Loss of a Charter Member

Our club members were deeply saddened at the death of one of our founding members over the weekend. Mrs. Jane Anne (Evans) Handley, aged 78, passed away in Hattiesburg after a brief illness.

Mrs. Handley, along with Mrs. Audeline Smith, were charter members of our club when it was formed over 50 years ago. Both ladies have been a vital part of the activities and programs sponsored by our club.
Mrs. Handley was the former principal of Roseland Park Elementary School here in Picayune, a member of First Baptist Church, and several civic and professional organizations.
